COVID-19 Information: At this time, Anne Arundel County has made the announcement that spring sports seasons will open with guidelines and restrictions in place. The county posted "Return to Play" guidelines in September 2020 and is expected to update those guidelines for Spring 2021.

What are the fee's this year? 

            2021 Registration Fees - no change from previous year

 

Baseball
            3/4 T Ball - $105
            5/6 T Ball - $115
            7/8 Coach Pitch - $155
            9/10 Baseball - $160
            11/12 Baseball - $170
            13/15 Baseball - $185
            16/18 Baseball - $185 (new this year! We are wait-listing registrations to see if there is enough interest to form a team. No payment is required until we are sure there will be a team. Players must be enrolled in High School for the 2020/2021 school year, and must not have been listed on their High School Baseball teams roster this past year)

            6u Softball - $115

How do I signup to help my players team or to be a coach?

            During the registration process, a section will ask you if you want to volunteer and in what capacity. The success of LF Baseball and Softball starts with parents volunteering to coach and help our teams. If you are interested in coaching, please sign up through your child's registration.


When is Opening Day and when do practices and games start?

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no opening day ceremony or parade this year. We are hoping to start practices by the end of March; however, that is highly dependent upon the weather and county restrictions. Games are scheduled to start on or about April 10 and will end on or about June 12. No schedules will be created until after registration closes and teams are formed.
           

I am registering my child and believe he/she is in the wrong age group.

Please note baseball age cut off is August 31, 2021 and Softball age cut off is January 1, 2021 (assume your child's age on these dates). The system will automatically place your child in the appropriate age group based on their birth-date.


If you would like for your child to "play up" in a higher league, please email us. We will evaluate these requests and approve them as we see fit on a case by case basis.

 

My child is only 6 and doesn’t turn 7 until after the season ends, why are they in the 7/8 league?

 

Your child has a summer birthday, for baseball registration purposes assume their age on September 1, 2021. The league we play in has establishes the age cutoff, which aligns with the school age cutoff. Previously our leagues used a May 1 cutoff. Changing to a September 1 cutoff aligns kids in the same grade with the same sports age group. For example, the 7/8 age division used to be a mix of 1st – 3rd graders, but is now all 1st and 2nd graders.

 

My child did not play last year because of COVID restrictions; can he/she play down this year?

 

The spring 2020 season was cancelled for all players, and unfortunately, everyone missed a year of development. Additionally, since the spring 2020 season was cancelled your child may have only played one year in a given age group before being moved up. The age cut-off dates are a requirement imposed by the county leagues in which we participate and will affect every player (either for the 2021 or 2022 Spring Season). This is a league requirement and is non-negotiable; any request to "play down" cannot be approved.

 

Can I request for my child to play with their friend or request a specific coach?

We accept requests (play with a friend or Coach requests) in our 3/4, 5/6 and 6U softball leagues ONLY. We do our best to accommodate these requests, but we       have had instances where a Coach received too many requests, which exceeded our normal number of players allowed per team. We do not take requests in any other league besides those mentioned above. There are no exceptions.  

 

Where are the games played?

3/4 Tball, 5/6 Tball, 7/8 Coach Pitch will play all games "in-house" against other LF teams at our main complex on Andover Road.

 

Our softball and older baseball teams play in a broader league with teams from other local organizations. While some games will be at our home fields, others will be played at other Anne Arundel County fields. 

 

Why is the system wait-listing my player when I attempt to register?

Some of our softball and older baseball leagues may fill up before the 3/7/21 registration deadline. Once a league is full, we will wait list to see if we obtain additional
players to create more teams, however there are no guarantees. There is no payment required to add your player to a wait-list. Please do not delay in registering your player to secure your roster spot. 

 

When will my players coach contact me?
           
Once we have our coaches meetings towards the end of March. PLEASE be sure your contact information in your online account is current since this is what is provided to the coach.

·        Our online Registration Form will remain open until March 7.

·        Once you visit our site, the link to register is listed at the top left of the page in the GREEN Header opposite our logo.

·        NOTE: If you have already created an account with us, you will login, and click the "My Account" link next to the log on link. From there, the process is the same as new users.

·        After registering for the first time on our site, you will then input information for each of your children. This information is the same as what we have always collected via our old system and paper forms. We do not share this information and it remains secure within our database.

·        From there you will follow the system prompts to complete the online registration.

·        The site will process credit card transactions directly and securely. An email confirmation will be sent once your registration and payment is complete.


WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! For those interested in volunteering, there is an option on the registration form to select Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Team Parent. Please select your desired option when registering your child.
