Registration FAQ's
What are the fee's this year?
All fees remain the same as last spring.
Baseball
3/4 T Ball - $100
5/6 T Ball - $125
7/8 Coach Pitch - $155
9/10 Baseball - $165
11/12 Baseball - $175
13/15 Baseball - $195
16/18 Baseball - $195 (Players must be enrolled in High School for the 2024/2025 school year, and must not have been listed on their High School Baseball teams roster this spring)
Softball
Unfortunately we have not been able to field a softball team since 2019. We understand softball team spots are limited throughout the county and we want to provide the best opportunity to help find your daughter a team with other organizations that have registration open.
If you would like for your daughter to play softball, please consider other organizations in the NCCGSL, specifically several girls in the Linthicum/Ferndale communities have played the past couple seasons at Severn Athletic Club (SAC)
When are practices and/or games?
Plan on twice a week (one weeknight that varies and once on Saturday morning/afternoon). Schedules can not be written until after all teams are formed.
How are teams formed?
Our t-ball leagues are formed by our player coordinator volunteer. We comb through all the requests and try our hardest to accommodate all request in 3/4 and 5/6 t-ball.
Starting this year, we are holding player evaluations on Sunday, March 2. Players will be evaluated and teams will be formed based on talent level to insure all teams are fair and evenly matched.
How do I signup to help my players team or to be a coach?
During the registration process, a section will ask you if you want to volunteer and in what capacity. The success of LF Baseball and Softball starts with parents volunteering to coach and help our teams. If you are interested in coaching, please sign up through your child's registration.
When is Opening Day and when do practices and games start?
Practices will start the end of March with Opening Day Parade and Games tentatively slated for April 12. The season will end the middle of June. No schedules will be created until after registration closes and teams are formed.
I am registering my child and believe he/she is in the wrong age group.
Please note baseball age cut off is August 31, 2025 (assume your child's age on this date). The system will automatically place your child in the appropriate age group based on their birth-date.
If you would like for your child to "play up" in a higher league, please email us. We will evaluate these requests and approve them as we see fit on a case by case basis.
My child is only 6 and doesn’t turn 7 until after the season ends, why are they in the 7/8 league?
Your child has a summer birthday, for baseball registration purposes assume their age on September 1, 2025. The league we play in has establishes the age cutoff, which aligns with the school age cutoff. Previously our leagues used a May 1 cutoff. Changing to a September 1 date aligns kids in the same grade with the same sports age group. For example, the 7/8 age division used to be a mix of 1st – 3rd graders, but is now all 1st and 2nd graders.
My child did not play last year; can he/she play down this year?
The age cut-off dates are a requirement imposed by the leagues in which we participate. This is a league requirement and is non-negotiable; any request to "play down" cannot be approved.
Can I request for my child to play with their friend or request a specific coach?
We accept requests (play with a friend or Coach requests) in our 3/4 and 5/6 ONLY. We do our best to accommodate these requests, but we have had instances where a Coach received too many requests, which exceeded our normal number of players allowed per team. We do not take requests in any other league besides those mentioned above. There are no exceptions.
Where are the games played?
3/4 Tball, 5/6 Tball, 7/8 Coach Pitch will play all games "in-house" against other LF teams at our main complex on Andover Road.
Our older baseball teams play in a broader league with teams from other local organizations. While some games will be at our home fields, others will be played at other Anne Arundel County fields.
Why is the system wait-listing my player when I attempt to register?
Some of our older baseball leagues may fill up before the registration deadline. Once a league is full, we will wait list to see if we obtain additional
players to create more teams, however there are no guarantees. There is no payment required to add your player to a wait-list. Please do not delay in registering your player to secure your roster spot.
When will my players coach contact me?
Once we have our coaches meetings in early March. PLEASE be sure your contact information in your online account is current since this is what is provided to the coach.

· Our online Registration Form will remain open until March .
· Once you visit our site, the link to register is listed at the top left of the page in the GREEN Header opposite our logo.
· NOTE: If you have already created an account with us, you will login, and click the "My Account" link next to the log on link. From there, the process is the same as new users.
· After registering for the first time on our site, you will then input information for each of your children. This information is the same as what we have always collected via our old system and paper forms. We do not share this information and it remains secure within our database.
· From there you will follow the system prompts to complete the online registration.
· The site will process credit card transactions directly and securely. An email confirmation will be sent once your registration and payment is complete.
Any cancelation refund request will be managed on a case by case basis. Cancelations are subject to a $10 processing fee - separate from any service charges imposed through a third party processor.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! For those interested in volunteering, there is an option on the registration form to select Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Team Parent.
